Li Zibin

Li Zibin is born in 1939 in the Northeast of China. In 1964, he works as a technician in the city of Baotou, Inner Mongolia. He passed many years in the chemichal industry unit in Liaoning Mian Xi city as engineer, then Vice-Director, and Director of the factory and Vice-Mayor of the city. From 1991 to 1994, he was was Vice-Minister of the Ministry for Chemical Industry. In 1994, he was appointed Vice-Major of Shenzhen, then became Mayor of the Municipality of Shenzhen and vice-secretary of Shenzhen PCC from 1995 to May 2000.

He is currently Vice-Director of the Leading Group for Western Region Developement under the State Council' State Development Planning Commission with the rank of Vice-Minister.

His successor in Shenzhen as Mayor of the city, is Yu Youjun, previously Director of the Publicity Department of the Guangdong Provincial Governement.
