Wang Yin Fan

Wang Ying Fan was born in April 1942 in Tu Quan County (Inner Mongolia). He is a graduate of the Faculty of English of Beijing Institute of Foreign Languages (1964). He then joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and assigned to the London Embassy.

In 1972, he was sent to Ghana as Attache. In 1975, he was assigned to the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines. In 1980, he was promoted Deputy Division Chief of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Ministry in Beijing. In 1985, he was appointed Deputy Director of the Department of Asian Affairs. From 1988 to 1990, he was Ambassador to the Philippines. Upon his return to Beijing, he was appointed Director of the Department of Asian Affairs.

In 1994, he was promoted to Assistant Minister. He was made Vice-Minister in 1995.
